South Pointe Fellowship
A Ministry of First Baptist Church Indian Trail

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When and what time do we meet?
We offer one worship service every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Our gatherings usually last between 65-75 minutes. We also offer Bible study on Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m. and AWANA for all children at the same time.

What can I expect at a worship environment?
Our gatherings include many different elements. We are consistently inconsistent in what we do. Some of the things you might experience on a weekend include creative video, innovative drama, humor, a live band, engaging music, and a real-to-life talk about current needs and issues.

What should I wear?
We have a "come as you are" approach to ministry. We believe that God wants us to come to Him just as we are. We have that same mentality when we gather. Most people will be very casually dressed.

What if I do not know anything about the Bible or Christianity?
At South Pointe we know that everyone is at different stages of their spiritual journey. Some people are very skeptical about the whole Christianity concept. Some people are just learning. Others have been Christ followers for several years. We want to offer you an environment where you can take one more step toward becoming an authentic and passionate follower of Jesus Christ. Skeptics are welcome. Questions are encouraged. Growth happens.

What will I do with my kids?
SP Kidz (4k-3rd grade) is offered during our 10:30am worship time and is designed especially for your child. We provide an age-appropriate and engaging environment for your child that is fun and will teach them everyday values for life. There is also nursery provided for infants age 3 and below. SP Kidz will look to expand to our 4th-6th graders as we grow.

Does South Pointe offer small group environments?
Yes, South Pointe launched life groups (Sunday School).
It begins at 9:30 a.m. and we offer classes for all ages.

Where does South Pointe meet?
Right now South Pointe meets at 701 E.Cato Street in Pageland, South Carolina on the high school campus of New Covenant Christian School. We are one block north of Highway 9 and .5 mile off of 151 Bypass. We meet at 10:30 am every Sunday. WARNING: don’t come expecting to have church in a school. We so transform the gym that you will forget you are even in a school.

Can I get involved at South Pointe?
Yes. We want you to be a part of what God is doing through South Pointe. There are opportunities to serve in many areas including: sound, lighting, video producing and creating, vocals, acting, SP Kidz, set-up & tear-down, small groups, community service, and other opportunities. If you would like information for one of these areas, please contact us at

What is the relationship between South Pointe and First Baptist Church Indian Trail?
God has blessed FBCIT in some amazing ways to impact the kingdom of God in the greater Charlotte / Monroe area. With an average attendance each Sunday over 2,500, God laid it upon the pastor and leadership's heart to expand the ministry beyond their impact area. The Lord opened a door for Indian Trail to plant a church in Pageland, South Carolina. FBCIT has and will continue to support and invest to see this ministry succeed and impact the kingdom of God in the greater Pageland area.
